Why Choose a Food Tour in Sarasota, St Pete or Tampa?

Aside from being a popular tourist destination known for its stunning beaches and cultural attractions, Sarasota is also a food lover's paradise. From fresh seafood to farm-to-table restaurants, this city has a vibrant food scene waiting to be discovered. St Pete is another gorgeous historical downtown and downtown Tampa is on the riverfront, and home to the University of Tampa. All three cities are charming waterfront SW Florida cities, with very unique characteristics, lifestyles and history.
Sample the Best Local Cuisine

One of the best things about taking a Sarasota food tour is getting to try authentic local cuisine that you may not have otherwise known about. Indulge in some world-famous key lime pie, locally sourced seafood dishes, and other mouth-watering treats that will leave you craving for more.
Learn About the City's History and Culture

Aside from satisfying your taste buds, a food tour also allows you to learn about the city's history and culture. As you walk through different neighborhoods and try various dishes, your knowledgeable guide will share interesting facts and stories about the significance of each food and its role in the city's culture.
Support Local Businesses

Another great reason to take a food tour is that you get to support local businesses. Many of the stops on the tour are small, family-owned restaurants and cafes that offer unique and delicious dishes. By participating in a food tour, you are not only getting a taste of the city's best food, but you are also helping the local economy thrive.

Cost/Gratuity

The ticket price varies by experience and length of tour. Ticket price includes food, tax, gratuity (& sometimes alcohol drinks) at the restaurant stops. Walking & culinary tours are very popular experiences in the world and tipping/gratuity varies by country. In the United States, it is customary to tip the tour guide 15%-20% of the ticket price per guest. This is the guide's primary income source for the time invested in leading the experience and sharing their knowledge. It is customary practice to tip a tour guide at the conclusion since it is a tourism/hospitality gig. Tour guides are typically not employees of the tour company they represent. Gratuity of 15% is added to private tours, corporate groups and bachelorette parties.
